A chemical peel is a procedure in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove damaged skin cells, treat wrinkles and correct scars and sunspot discolourations. Chemical peels contain different types of acids that have varying depths of skin penetration. There are many options depending on your needs and how sensitive your skin is.
Chemical Peels
Superficial chemical peels are the mildest of the peels, they remove the outermost layer of the epidermis. They are mild enough to be used as part of a monthly skincare regime to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and age spots and can help even out the texture and tone of your skin.
Medium-depth chemical peels penetrate the epidermis (top skin layer) into the papillary dermis. Medium-depth peels are usually combined with other chemical peels to increase efficacy while reducing the risk of scarring. Perfect for acne and acne scars, scars, rosacea, uneven skin tone, melanoma, uneven skin texture, fine lines and wrinkles.
Post-procedure: After a chemical peel, your skin will be likely red and appear irritated. Deeper chemical peels may result in increased redness and swelling. It is also normal to feel some continued burning or stinging. crusting and flaking.SPF 50+ should worn at all times. Avoid sunbaths and sunbeds for 2 weeks. Keep the area dry until skin peels off completely.
anti-wrinkle (botulinum type A toxin) BTX
Post-procedure: Don't apply any pressure to the area for the first 48 hours. Avoid high-intensity activities or exercise for over 24 hours. Avoid a hot environment for 24 hours following treatment, no spas, no saunas or hot showers. Avoid sun exposure. Do not complete any further skin treatment in the treated area for up to 2 weeks. This includes waxing, chemical peels, facials, skin needling, microdermabrasion, or any laser treatments.
Anti-wrinkle treatments are administrated in precise doses to targeted areas of the face. Anti-winkle treatments function by blocking the signals between the nerves and muscles. This induces muscle relaxation, thereby preventing the formation of new static lines and diminishing the appearance of current static and dynamic lines. The result is fresh, youthful and most importantly, a naturally enhanced appearance. Review recommended 2 weeks after treatment to correct if necessary. The effect lasts 3-6 months.
mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is a technique that uses injections of vitamins, enzymes, hormones, and plant extracts to rejuvenate and tighten skin, as well as remove excess fat. The technique uses very fine needles to deliver a series of injections into the middle layer (mesoderm) of the skin. The idea behind mesotherapy is that it corrects underlying issues like poor circulation and inflammation that cause skin damage. In addition to treating wrinkles and removing unwanted fat, mesotherapy is also used to treat hair loss from alopecia. The treatment injects natural plant extracts, vitamins, or medicines like finasteride, biotin and minoxidil, into the head.
Post-procedure: Because mesotherapy is noninvasive, there usually isn’t any downtime. Many people can return to their regular activities right away. Others may need to take a day off due to swelling, bruising and pain at the injection sites.
microneedling
Microneedling (also known as skin needling or collagen induction therapy) is a type of treatment that uses small needles to cause tiny punctures in the skin. These encourage the body to create a wound-healing response and renew the skin cells. As your skin repairs, the production of collagen and elastin is triggered and gives an almost immediate plumping effect. it can also tackle other skin issues such as scarring, dark marks/pigmentation, sun damage or ageing. Treatment can be performed on the body as well as the face. It can be also combined with products such as hyaluronic acid, serums, peptides, ceramides, EGF(epidermal growth factor) and treatments such as boosters or mesotherapy to tackle any skin issues or problematic areas.
Post-procedure: Use sun protection with SPF 50+ for 2 weeks at least, avoid direct sun, try to avoid touching the face and if you must make sure your hands are clean. Avoid make-up, avoid exfoliants, retinols and vitamin C 24 hrs post microneedling. Downtime varies for each customer however you may experience redness, swelling and bruising for up to 7 days.
The course of 4-6 treatments is recommended for best results. Maintaining every 6-9 months.
PRP (platelet-rich-plasma) & PRF (platelet-rich-fibrin)
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich-fibrin (PRF) are the most natural way to rejuvenate the skin and boost hair growth. Using plasma from your very own blood, this procedure restores youth and a healthy glow to the skin by stimulating new cell growth while also healing damaged tissue. PRF has a higher concentration of platelets, fibrin and white blood cells. Both treatments can be used on face, body and hair loss. Minimum 3 sessions are advised in the space of 4-6 weeks. Results will last 6-12 months. Benefits: gentle plumping, scar correction, skin tightening, acne scaring reduction, dark circles reduction, general skin rejuvenation. It can be combined with microneedling (vampire face) and boosters.
Post-procedure: Mild bruising may occur with a downtime of 1-5 days, depending on skin sensitivity. Avoid heat such as direct sun, sauna, steam rooms, hot baths and hot showers for 48 hours
skin boosters
Skin boosters are injectables that improve skin texture, elasticity, hydration and overall appearance. Treatment involves injecting hyaluronic acid (HA) which is a soft, gel-like substance under the skin, which improves the skin's firmness and radiance. Skin boosters increase the levels of hydration and stimulate the production of collagen, improving fine lines and wrinkles and giving an overall glow.
Post-procedure: Mild bruising may occur with a downtime of 1-5 days, depending on skin sensitivity. Avoid heat such as direct sun, sauna, steam rooms, hot baths and hot showers for 48 hours. No alcohol for 24 hours before and post-procedure. Avoid retinol, vitamin C and oil-based make-up. No facials, waxing, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, IPL or laser treatments for 2 weeks. Do not touch the area directly after the procedure to avoid infection.
